Faith NSW, under the auspices of Better Balanced Futures, is an independent body which represents and engages with each of the unique faith communities, united through mutual cause and interest.

Faith NSW exists to foster robust, mutually respectful relationships between the faith communities, and to engage and collaborate with all levels of government, each other, and the wider community to address common causes, issues and interests. Through these collaborative efforts, we strive to build a more socially cohesive society that celebrates and upholds a rich freedom of religious belief and practice.

We recognise the beautiful diversity within the faith communities and acknowledge their invaluable contribution to the well-being of our multicultural society. We are committed to advocating for and championing the role that responsible faith communities play in contributing towards this vibrant multiculturalism that enriches Australia.

We believe that faith and belief play a valuable role in both an individual’s life, and society as a whole, and to fully embrace this contribution there needs to be freedom and recognition of faith, together with ongoing dialogue with and between faith communities, government and the community.

We believe this requires each faith community to collaborate as a collective group, and for government and other groups to engage respectfully, all working together for the common good of society.

We are committed to encouraging, and recognise that this will require, each faith community to bring transparency, respect, diversity and balance to each discussion and cause.
